Step 1: Pre-Drill Snow Guards

Use the starter points on the SnoBlox Deuce to pre-drill holes large enough to accommodate the included stainless steel screws. Use a bit extension to avoid scratching the snow guard face.

Step 2: Apply Everflex SB-1800

Cut the tip of the Everflex silicone sealant nozzle in a broad fashion and smear the sealant across the entire base of the SnoBlox Deuce. Make sure that when the guard is set in place, the silicone sealant will uniformly cover the complete underside of the base, while providing adequate squeeze-out around the entire perimeter.

Step 3: Insert Snow Guard in Strap

Place the base of the SnoBlox Deuce securely in the lip of the strap, while ensuring that pre-drilled holes align correctly with holes in strap. Check to make sure the sealant has squeezed out around the entire perimeter of the guard. To insure a watertight seal, run a bead of sealant in any areas around the border that may have voids. It is aesthetically pleasing to smooth the sealant by carefully finger wiping around the edges while wearing a rubber glove.

Step 4: Insert Hardware

Insert the stainless steel bolt from the underside of the strap so that the flat head will rest against the roof when installed. The threaded portion of the screw should extend up, beyond the snow guard. Secure the bolt to the screw. Ensure snug fit and avoid over tightening.

Step 5: Trim and Install

Use shears to trim the strap to desired length and install as necessary.
